Glimpses and Glimmers: Using Writing and Art to Tell Your Personal Stories

220.00

Date: Weekend of March 16th-17th
Time: Saturday 10am-4pm, Sunday 10am-3pm

Instructors: Deborah Nedelman (http://www.soundviewwriters.com/) and Liesel Lund

Join us for a stimulating weekend using both writing and visual art to capture stories from your past. We will provide evocative prompts to guide your writing and we’ll also teach you simple art techniques for exploring the colors and images that express without words. Using both sources of expression, you’ll discover new ways to tell your stories. By tapping into the non-verbal part of your brain through visual art you can connect to a deep well of inspiration that will fuel your writing.

This workshop, co-taught by writer, Deborah Nedelman, and artist, Liesel Lund, is based on Deborah’s experience of discovering that her writing flowed more easily when she began mixing her writing time with the simple art techniques she learned in Liesel’s classes.

Deborah and Liesel create a safe and supportive atmosphere where writers of any level of experience will feel comfortable. No art experience is needed.

You’ll come away with written pieces you may build on and a host of visual techniques you can use to enhance your writing practice.

No art experience necessary. 12 Spaces.
