Winter's Light Journaling

85.00

Date: Saturday, February 9th
Time: 10am-3pm

Instructor: Liesel Lund

Winter is a perfect time for journaling. The trees and plants are resting, and gathering nourishment to prepare for their growth in the spring. We can use this time to rest and to listen to our inner thoughts. Throughout the day, Liesel will share and demonstrate several art techniques & writing prompts for you to choose from. We are going to make art purely in response to what we feel in the moment, using acrylic paint, collage, markers and oil crayons. Your only audience is you. This class is more about process - the gift of listening and discovering what nourishes you, rather than on producing finished pages (though that may happen too). This is a day to give yourself time to breathe, to take a break and to explore through color and collage whatever calls to you.

Bring:
-A spiral or hard back journal made with 140lb watercolor paper or loose pieces of 140lb watercolor paper.
-Your favorite writing pen
-Apron or wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on
All other supplies provided.
